You may not have done any exercise for a while. Maybe you are concerned about exercising safely.

Maybe your physio/osteopath or chiropractor suggested that you do some stretching exercises.

Your posture and flexibility are not what they used to be.

You would like to meet others in a similar situation.

You are a senior but do not feel that a general yoga class is for you but also feel that a chair-based exercise class is not for you yet.

You are currently unsure about how to exercise safely at home.

You want to benefit from a regular exercise routine which will help you to feel fitter and stronger and help alleviate aches and stiffness.

You are looking for a class where you can work at a slower pace if necessary and a teacher who can offer support with modifications to suit your body.

You would like some tips on exercises which you can do at home between classes.

How can the weekly classes help you?

Stretching has lots of health benefits including improving flexibility; improving posture; releasing tension; increased energy; injury prevention; increased blood flow to muscles; helps with back pain; great for stress relief.

We will work in a seated or supine position on the mat and do some standing stretches and balances. Modifications can be offered if you can’t quite manage the exercise. Hopefully, over time, your body will adapt and you will surprise yourself at your improved range of movement.

In addition to the classes, you will receive home practice sheets or online videos so that you can exercise safely at home.

You will need an exercise/yoga mat.

Each class ends with a short relaxation period.

It is NEVER TOO LATE IN LIFE to start exercising and improving yourself both physically and mentally!!

NOTE Due to Covid19 we are currently running some of our classes via Zoom due to social distancing rules. You can join in if you have access to a laptop, tablet or smart-phone. We are happy to help you prior to the class if you haven’t used Zoom before.
